We undertook
a creative refurbishment of this 8 bedroom guesthouse, originally
built circa 1840, in preparation for resale. Extensive structural
alteration was carried out including remodelling of internal
partition walls and restoration of the majority of external
walls, membrane system damp-proofing and structural reinforcement
of the 50m2 basement, extensive rewiring of the entire property
and plumbing modification to bring the property into line
with current standards. Due to a heavily limited budget most
attention was given to the kitchen and bathroom areas as these
were in the most critical need of updating. Overall the client
required a clean and spacious finish suitably neutral for
prospective new owners to develop in their own taste. Following
completion of project the property value increased by just
under £100K and it was successfully sold at it's new value
